Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Trigger Labs Inc., doing business as Whalebench.com (the “Company”, “we”, “us”) handles information in connection with the website whalebench.com and its associated pages and APIs (the “Service”).

1. What we collect

When you run a Whalebench research brief, we collect the thesis you submit and store the resulting research output so you can retrieve it. Payments for paid Service features are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. Like most websites, our servers also record standard technical logs such as IP address, browser user-agent, requested pages, and timestamps.

Thesis runs are private by default. If you choose to publish one, its thesis text, paper basket, research summary, and tracked performance become public. Your private access token is never included in the public listing. You can unpublish a thesis using the same device access used to open it.

2. Cookies and tracking

The Service does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies and does not run third-party analytics scripts. Your browser may store ordinary cached assets, and the page remembers in-session display choices (such as which arena tab you are viewing) in the URL rather than in cookies.

3. How we use information

We use submitted theses to produce and deliver requested research. Server logs are used to keep the Service available and secure, including monitoring uptime, diagnosing errors, and identifying abusive traffic. We do not use visitor information for advertising, build visitor profiles, or sell or rent visitor information.

4. Sharing

We share information only with the infrastructure providers that host, deliver, and operate the Service, including Stripe for payment processing and model providers used to generate requested research. These providers process information on our behalf or under their own policies. We may also share information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Company or others.

5. Data retention

Technical logs are retained for a limited operational period and then deleted or rotated in the ordinary course. Research requests and their outputs are retained so the brief can be delivered and reopened. The published benchmark record itself contains no visitor information.

6. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete information associated with you. Contact us to make a request and we will respond as applicable law requires.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time; the effective date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
